You may be wondering what this is about.
Lately, I have had a subtle feeling of unhappiness. I couldn't pinpoint exactly why this unhappiness has lingered for as long as it has. However, one day last week when my alarm sounded off at 6:15 am... I literally spent 15 minutes thinking of reasons why I should remain in bed and not get up to face the day. This was not a proud moment.
On Thursday, a friend of mine gave me a brilliant idea through a presentation in English class. Initially, this revelation's purpose was to really get my blog going and give me a daily target for posting. As the project developed in my head.. it suddenly became a possible solution to the chronic "can't-get-out-of-bed-for-the-life-of-me" syndrome that is currently plaguing me.
The Challenge:
118 days of daily celebration.
For what you may ask?
Well. Thanks to my friend's own little tradition, I will be choosing a daily holiday to celebrate in some way. Because there are multiple holidays each day, I am entitling myself to pick and choose as I like (this means, all food holidays will surely be celebrated as top priority!) Also, as a personal goal.. I am going to attempt creatively enjoying these daily holidays.. and documenting it.
Why 118? Because a year may be setting my sights a little too high (who are we kidding?).
The final celebration, June 29, will mark the beginning of my eighteenth year on this planet, and the end of my high school career.
Stay tuned for how March 6 will be celebrated by yours truly.
All for now,
Aimee OC
