Happy International Woman's Day/
Women's Rights and International Peace Day!
Alexis Bledel as Rosie the Riveter -->
My favorite example of wartime propoganda

Quick side note:
I didn't realize that there were monthly holidays too.. just thought
I would say Happy Caffeine Awareness Month to all my readers
who have ever given me a hard time about drinking too much
coffee! Ha!
Women have come a long way through history, and I feel very privileged to live in the country with the most women's rights. This day was acknowledged for me with a discussion in my English Literature class. My teacher simply loves a good heated debate, and sometimes goes out of his way to interact with me and my peers. It is a tough subject to tackle, women's rights. On one hand, you must speak your opinion without sounding sexist. However, in lots of cases.. fairness is a faint line which people frequently cross. It does go both ways. I have heard of men that have been victimized in ways females never are. The fact of the matter is, little by little more women have stood up for themselves and their rights. Whether they have succeeded and changed the world like Nellie McClung, or become a famous powerhouse woman like Hilary Clinton, there is feminism has spread worldwide along with awareness.

On a slightly different note.. I am now aware that today was also Peanut Cluster Day. I am sorry to report that I didn't enjoy any peanut clusters today.. I know, I'm as disappointed as you are.

All for now,

Aimee OC
