I'm a busy girl. Honestly.
Occasionally lazy.
This is my pitiful explanation as to why I have not been documenting my life on a daily basis. School has been a big priority of mine lately, and unfortunately the blog suffered a bit from that.
But I'm back, and I will cast my mind back to the 12 days that I have missed...
March 30- Hot dog day
This was a good one. I am actually not a big hot dog fan, ever since my Grade 5 teacher told me there was animal pus and "floor meat" in them. But I ate one that day.. it was a pretzel wrapped hot dog actually. Needless to say, once it was salted and doused in a cheesy sauce, I enjoyed it immensely.

*Also, tater tot day. Just throwing that out there.
At this point we were still travelling around Nevada, so I didn't go out of my way to celebrate that one. However, it has officially been a year since I went to Europe with my school, so sadness obviously ensued.
Europe 2010- One year since travel gave me true happiness, and a great boy-toy. |
April 1 (my personal favorite)- This technically is not an official holiday.. but it is close to my heart. April 1 marks one year since I went out on my first date with my boyfriend. It has been a year of amazing experiences, and lessons. On this day, my mind was plagued with memories that bring a giant goofy smile on my face.
Oh yes,
and it is also April Fool's day. But thats less creative.
April 2- Ferret lovers day.
I admit, I did s*** all to celebrate this day, but I love ferrets. I don't know why.
I know they are creepy looking and smell funny, but there's something about the squeaky noises they make and the fact that they can sit on your shoulder. I just like them!
April 3- Chocolate "Moose" Day
I don't know if this was a typo.. but I have never seen a chocolate moose.
So I ordered chocolate MOUSSE at the Olive Garden.
It was actually a dark chocolate and coconut "Dolcini". But it had dark chocolate mousse in it. The obvious criteria.
And it was yummy.
April 4- Nap at Work Day
This was the first day back at school, so i technically didn't have work. But I definitely napped while working. Kind of embarrassing actually.
aww, ferret. |
Okay, I cannot say why I had to do this.. I will explain at a later date.
But I had to read a road map (yay google maps) and navigate to my destination ALL BY MYSELF. It was a major moment of Independence. Sad, but true!
April 6- Post-it Notes Day
I was really stressing that day. All of my homework finally piled up to a point where I could no longer deny its existence. I dealt with this with my famous "Note to self" notepad, and a stack of multicolored post-its. Now, (Being April 10) I am actually caught up. This is quite the accomplishment.
April 7- National No House-Work Day
This was easy as pie for me to accomplish. But to take it to a whole new level... I let my room cleanliness fall by the wayside. We had my cousin from New Zealand with us.. and she wanted to see my room. Before I could stop my Mother, my whole family was witness to the messiest room on O'Connor track records. Really embarrassing.
April 8- Milk in a glass bottle day (est. 1879)
I actually attempted to get a glass milk bottle for this. But apparently they don't sell those anymore.. so I had milk in a glass.
And my mom made fresh oatmeal chocolate chip cookies... Mmmm :)
April 9- Listening day
This should have been considered to be "Don't listen Day" as my girlfriends and I shrieked, yelled, screamed and everything in between during a full-fledged karaoke night. Most fun I have had in a while though :)
April 10-Encourage a Young Writer Day
Well, this is going to sound a little narcissistic.
But I received the encouragement, instead of giving it. Thanks G-ma :)
That pretty much covers it all...
Hopefully this week will go more smoothly, and the posting frequent!
All for now,
Aimee OC
